Deep Blue Sea

Love this one of mine.  I wish pictures could show the actual colors in this polish

Please excuse the bad mani.  Too much polish testing last week .  lol.

It's a dark blue pigment with a dash of teal in the base. I added a very fine saphire glitter and a tiny bit of fine green glitter.  It has taken a bit of a metalic finish.  That was an added bonus.  When the light hits it you can see the subtle color changes.  I was trying to get the look of depth with this polish.  I think I've nailed it !  For any extra info on Deep Blue Sea you can leave me a message of see me on my FB page.

I'm in LOVE !!

Any dark polish lover out there owns China Glaze Liquid Leather.  It's the most lushious, glossy, pure black polish I have ever used.  The following pic is just one coat of this beauty.

Now lets take that perfect polish and add my Gasoline Dreams top coat

I'm completely in love with the way my top coat can make any great polish look even better.  I couldn't wait to share the beauty of it in natural light so I used a flash for these pics.  I'll grab a pic or two when the sun is shining tomorrow.

This is my shining star.  A top coat that I'll bet you can't take your eyes off.

What an exciting day!!  After making a complete mess of a polish color or 6 yesterday I finally arrived with this one..  I'm calling it Gasoline Dreams.  The first pic is outside in natural lighting.  The second is indoors with a flash.

I haven't stopped staring at my nails since I put this one on.  I'll be sad when I have to take it off to test the next creation.

REMOVING GLITTER NAIL POLISH

Some of you may know this trick but for those of you who don't here we go !!  Maybe if glitter was easier to remove we wouldn't be so hesitant to wear it.  Here's easy...
All you need is regular polish remover, 10 cotton pads, and 10 strips of tin foil.

You just have to completely saturate a cotton pad and lay it over your nail.

Next take a strip of tin foil and wrap it tightly over the nail and cotton pad, twisting the end to make it as air tight as possible.

Leave it on for 3-5 minutes.
Next , give it a squeeze and a twist, pull off and voila !!   No mess and no glitter.

With this easy process we can all wear more glitter !!

GOTTA LOVE MY NEW TOP COAT !!!!

I love this creation of mine.  Pictures don't do it justice.   I call this glitter mix "Sterling Nights" because believe it or not this one even shines in the dark.  It's a medium sized silver glitter in a quick dry top coat.  I put a lot of glitter in so extra aggitator balls was a must.  Because I didn't add a small glitter it doesn't have that gritty feel to it.  No top coat required.
I'm wearing it over a coat of matte black but this one will dazzle over any of your favorite color.

Magnetic nail polish magnets

 Hola!!
Gotta love the magnetic nail polishes.  I've been addicted since summer of 2011.  Everyone has blogged and commented on them, I know.......    This is all about the magnets.  I've got 4 of them to compare and if anyone out there has found anything different or better let me know!!
First lets introduce the magnets..

From left to right-LCN polish and magnet above the bottle which is sold seperately
-China Glaze magnet which has 3 designs on one tool
-Icing polish with the magnet on a seperate cap
-Sephora polish with the magnet on a seperate cap

For comparison sake I'm going to use one color of polish which is my absolute favorite one.  Icings Purple Magnetix.

I did my nails in the same order as the pic with the polish.  So here we go again....from left to right lets compare.
LCN
Pros-This magnet gives a really nice tight line and it has a bit of a curve to it so you get more nail with the effect.  I love the look it gives.
Cons-The magnet doesn't have a cuticle rest so you have to be very careful not to touch the wet polish.  It's around $12 plus the cost of the polish.
China Glaze
Pros-Has a great close tight line and gives me the look I like.  It has a cuticle rest that makes things easy.  It's a great price.  $8 and you have 3 magnets on the tool.
Cons-Its a flat magnet so you have to move it to get total nail coverage.
Icing
Pros-Magnet is in the cap so there isn't the extra cost and it's a great price.  $10 and the second one for half price.  Can't beat that considering they have 7 Magnetix colors to choose from.  It also has 2 cuticle rests so you can vary which direction you want the magnet lines.
Cons-The lines are spaced too far apart and blurry for my personal taste but still a very pretty effect.
Sephora
Pros-Once again the magnet is part of the cap.  Makes things easy.  I like the way the curve of the magnet mimics the curve of the nail and of course it has a cuticle rest.
Cons-I'd have to say the price is it for me.  $18 a bottle but they were one of the first in the area to carry it.

I'd love to hear any opinions you have or some great magnetic polish ideas and finds.

Happy Nails!!

I hope to be up and running within the next few weeks. I'll be sharing and new colors I accidentally discover along with any great finds out there in the stores. I'm working on a few dupes right now. OPI- my private jet ( the original) is an all time fave of soooo many. I've got about 5 variations on the go and I'll have pics when they're as good as they get !
