My Favorite Argyle Sweater

I love argyle on other people but I put it on and I feel like a blob.  This was my way of wearing argyle !!

My Favorite Argyle Sweater is a fun mix of matte diamond shaped pieces of white, black and purple glitter with some black and white matte strips in there too.  On the far left I've shown it over a pink, next is one coat on its own.  Third from the left is one coat over grey and then lastly is two coats on its own.   I'm liking this one on its own.  It has a great fun appeal.

You can see the swatches a bit better in the above picture.  All of the pictures are in natural indoor light.  No flash

You can see my glitters are jammed packed in the bottle.  You're guaranteed to get a lot of glitter on every nail.

Sights of Summer Collection

It's been a while but it's summer and busy times.  I'm hoping you like my new polishes as part of my Sights of Summer Collection.

From left to right Sunflower Fields, Watermelon Daze, and Blue Bayou.

The first swatch is over a sheer red and then on its own.  Both one coat.  Then watermelon over a sheer red again and on its own.  Lastly Blue Bayou over a shimmer blue and then on its own.  All are one coat.

Sunflower Fields is a refreshing glitter mix in a clear suspension base.  There are micro hex glitter, medium orange hex, large yellow squares , small green hex and large black diamonds.

They are all matte glitter and shown with a top coat.

Watermelon Daze is another refreshing polish.  I like this one.  It's fun.  It's full of medium pink hex, white strips , medium green hex and just a bit of cherry red glitter.  Of course we can't forget " the seeds " , large black diamonds.

Love it !!

Lastly is Blue Bayou.  It has multi size and color blue and teal hex.  Silver hex and silver strips.  I like this one on its own.

All of my glitters are in a clear suspension base.  Come visit me at http://www.facebook.com/DuplicatesByD

PUNK ROCK CHIC

Now here is a polish that I plan on wearing to Port Dover Friday the 13th in a few days.  I love that it has my favorite black and white but with that dash of girly (but not too girly) hot pink.

You have to love the mix of medium hex in white black and pink, and of course the extra white strips in there too.  I doubled the amount of pink in this one to make sure it really pops.

On the left is 2 coats over no base coat.  In the middle I've got 2 coats over a very sheer pink, and lastly on the right is 3 coats.  I'm not one to wear pink but I do like how it makes the colors pop.

PRIDE

I've been wanting to do this mix for a while and was very happy to receive my glitters in the mail today.

As you can see this is amazing polish!! It has medium hex in green, blue, red, and orange.  There's chunky yellow squares and purple diamonds.  And of course there is *equal* amounts of each color.  It's in my suspension base so there is very little shaking involved.

From left to right it is shown in 3 coats, then 2 then 1.  Excuse the 3 coater on  the left that I stuck my fat thumb in.  I feel the need to make a mess every now and again.  :D

You can see by the picture above that the colors are vibrant and fun.  PRIDE is a statement that you can wear and share.  Hope you enjoy!!

Happy Nails!!

Life After Coffee

This is a glitter bomb full of charcoal and silver and coffee color multi shapes of hexagons.

It's a heavy polish as you can see but it's absolutely amazing on.  It definitely needs a top coat to seal in all the glittery goodness.

Both of the above pics are natural lighting inside because it's too stinky hot outside to sit and play with polish and a camera.  lol.

There's an extreme close up of 2 coats and I didn't have a chance to top coat it yet.  Lazy day today.  It's a good shot to show you all the sizes of the glitters packed into this one.

That's it for today.    Happy Nails !!    Come visit me at http://www.facebook.com/DuplicatesByD

Clown Makeup Masacre

You know that old question " How many clowns can fit in that Volkswagon Beetle ?"   Well this nail polish is what the windshield looks like when they all pile out.

It's a glittery mix of fushia, turquoise, blue and green in various sizes of hex's.  Then it's dumped into a great mix of matte white glitters.

The above pic is in natural light and both swatches are 2 coats commando.  It's a polish that would look great over any color as a base coat.

Hope this one makes you smile. :)       Happy Nails!!

Pick Me a Periwinkle

After seeing Essie's new spring line I fell in love with the blue, but when you make your own polish you go home and dupe it.

This is what I wanted....
And these are what I ended up with !!

I'm happy with all the results.  They all have a touch of purple in them to give them the periwinkle hue. These are all gloss finishes and no sheen.

The above is an indoor shot of all three colors ,  2 coats,  and of course my beautiful top coat.  From left to right in all the pictures.... To Peri or not to Peri.  Blue ~ Bella, and Pick Me a Periwinkle.

Here's an outdoor natural light shot of the same three colors in the same order.  A real difference!!

These are all great spring colors and you know I had to do a lil something funky with them just because I am who I am.

Here they are with a top coat of White Lace and Love Letters.

White Lace and Love Letters

If you've read my blogs or know me you know I love all the polishes black, white , and bold.  White Lace and Love Letters came from a test I was doing with a new suspension base and I love it !! Let's call it WL & LL from here on out.  It's late and that's a really long name.  lol

As you can see it's a very subtle white glitter top coat.  There are matte white strips and three sizes of matte white hexs'.  There's a super fine opaque white and a very small amount of small silver hex also. In the some of the pics the silver hex looks black unfortunately.

The swatch on the left is 2 coats and on the right is one coat.  This will be amazing over my barely there collection.  I find this WL & LL looks much better on than on the swatches.

I quite like it commando.

Now as an added polish today I did an all black glitter.  Lil' Black Bits.

The bottle looks like a bottle of black polish...sorry about that but the camera wouldn't focus on the glitter in the bottle.  The swatches are 2 coats on the left and 1 on the right.  As you can see it's loaded with very small black matte hex glitter.

I think 3 coats would give you full coverage.!!

Well that's it for today .  Have a great long weekend and Happy Canada Day!!
